TOUR Championship announces open auditions for National Anthem performers
Tournament seeks talented groups and individuals to perform at HOPE Tee Shot opening ceremony
ATLANTA – The TOUR Championship is once again inviting Atlanta’s talented performers to audition for the opportunity to sing the National Anthem during the HOPE Tee Shot opening ceremony, which marks the official kickoff to the championship on Thursday, August 27, just ahead of the PGA TOUR’s top 30 players beginning competition.
Local soloists and groups of all ages are encouraged to submit a video of their National Anthem performance by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 29. In support of accessibility and inclusivity, the championship will also select an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter to perform alongside the anthem artist.
A panel of judges will review all submissions, and selected performers will be notified via email. Questions about the application process can be directed to Leigh Russell at LeighRussell@pgatourhq.com.
The HOPE Tee Shot is one of the championship’s most meaningful traditions, featuring two youth honorees who each hit the opening tee shots. Both honorees will also receive a scholarship courtesy of Proud Partner Accenture. Since 2008, the TOUR Championship has celebrated outstanding participants from First Tee – Metro Atlanta who exemplify the values of HOPE, continuing to inspire the East Lake community and beyond.
The TOUR Championship is proud to support local initiatives, and these efforts are made possible through the continued support of fans, partners and the community. By attending the tournament and getting involved, fans help drive meaningful impact and create lasting opportunities across Metro Atlanta.
