FedExCup Update: Aaron Rai jumps 84 spots to No. 24 in the FedExCup standings following PGA Championship victory

The PGA TOUR Season’s finale event returns to East Lake Golf Club from August 26-30

ATLANTA – With his victory at the PGA Championship, securing his first major championship title and second career PGA TOUR victory, England’s Aaron Rai earned 750 FedExCup points to move from No. 108 to No. 24 in the FedExCup standings. While Rai moved 84 spots to break into the top 30 in the FedExCup standings, Cameron Young maintained his status as FedExCup leader, closely followed by 2024 FedExCup Champion Scottie Scheffler.

The TOUR Championship is the culmination of the PGA TOUR season and the FedExCup Playoffs where the TOUR’s top 30 global stars compete to be crowned FedExCup Champion and compete for a $40 million purse.

Rai opened his 2026 campaign with three top-25 finishes in nine starts (T23/Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches; T24/Zurich Classic of New Orleans; 5th/ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic) before his major victory at the Aronimink Golf Club. The 31-year-old year old became the first Englishman to win the PGA Championship since Jim Barnes won in 1916 and 1919 (107 years).

The victory marked his second TOUR title in his 123rd career start (2024 Wyndham Championship). He also owns three career wins on the DP World Tour.

Rai’s lone appearance at the TOUR Championship came on the heels of his victory at the 2024 Wyndham Championship, where he finished T23 at East Lake Golf Club.
