TOUR Championship, PGA TOUR Superstore donate equipment to Drew Charter School Golf Programs

Ahead of the 2025 golf season, the TOUR Championship provided Drew Charter School with a SwingNet Pro kit and complete sets of men’s and women’s golf clubs. The equipment, designed for shared use during golf classes that are part of the school’s curriculum, will ensure students have access to high-quality resources as they develop their skills on the course.

The donation was made possible through the TOUR Championship Equipment Grant Program, in which equipment from the PGA TOUR Superstore is supplied to local nonprofits. The program was introduced in the Atlanta community last May to increase equity, improve participation and grow competitive play in the game of golf regardless of socioeconomic status.

“We’re thrilled to support Drew Charter School and its mission to provide students exposure to the game,” said Alex Urban, Executive Director of the TOUR Championship. “At the heart of the TOUR Championship’s mission is a commitment to the betterment of our community. In partnership with PGA TOUR Superstore, the opportunity to enrich the lives of young people through the game we love is a privilege.”

The golf classes offered at Drew Charter School help to foster students’ interest in the game of golf, while developing skills to advance into the school’s men’s and women’s golf teams. The equipment could not have arrived at a better time with the launch of the East Lake Junior Golf Academy, an innovative program designed to empower and inspire young athletes at the Drew Charter School and in the East Lake community.

A partnership between East Lake Golf Club and the East Lake Foundation, the East Lake Junior Golf Academy is dedicated to expanding access to golf, nurturing talent, building confidence, and creating opportunities for success—both on and off the course. As Executive Director, Catherine Woodling is leading and developing the program, bringing together top instructors, community partners, and the incredible resources of East Lake Golf Club to create an elite training and competition program for young golfers.

"The generosity and support from the TOUR Championship is essential in making golf more accessible to our students," said Catherine Woodling, Executive Director of East Lake Junior Golf Academy. "Golf can be an expensive sport, and the cost of top-quality equipment often creates a barrier for golf programs and young players. This donation creates new opportunities for our Drew Charter School students to explore the game of golf, develop new skills, and grow in their sportsmanship and confidence. We are incredibly grateful for this support and excited to see the impact it will have on the next generation of golfers in East Lake."
